I’m currently participating in the Future Earth Health Regional Knowledge-Action Network is currently taking place at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Xiamen, China. The urban health and wellbeing – systems approach – programme of the International Council for Science – explores the ways in which the urban context intersects with multiple social determinants of health.
Exploring urban health and wellbeing – a systems approach – the meeting brings together researchers from Africa, Latin America and China. Drawing on a range of issues and expertise, the different regional representatives are developing frameworks for action. Issues relating to migration and mobility are central to thinking about urban health.
